Nominations for Club Gloucester’s Board of Directors 2026-2027 have now closed.
There have been 11 nominations for the 8 available positions.
Club Gloucester Board of Directors Nominees (in no particular order) are:
Glenn Ashe
Glenn brings extensive experience in leadership, governance, financial management, the military, public service, and business. He believes these skills would enable him to make a valuable, positive contribution to the Board of Club Gloucester.
Glenn served with the Australian Army in Artillery and Signals and was also involved with the Joint Defence Space Communication Station. He holds qualifications in Human Resource Management and Program and Project Management, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
Since moving to Tipperary in 2020, Glenn has operated an Angus cattle enterprise.
Lori Stevenson
Lori moved to Gloucester seven years ago with her husband, where they built their family home. She previously worked as a receptionist at Gloucester Medico and is now retired.
Lori would like to become more involved in the local community and contribute her extensive experience in customer service and public interaction to help support the continued success of Club Gloucester.
“I would like to become more involved in the community. I am now retired and have time available to use my experience in dealing with the public to help support a successful club.”
Nick Weyland
Nick currently serves as President of Club Gloucester. He operates a property near Gloucester where he breeds horses and has been a resident of the area for more than five years.
Nick’s goal is to continue developing Club Gloucester as a modern and welcoming facility for its members and guests.
Nick’s aim is to: “To provide the members of Club Gloucester with a modern facility.”
Leonie West
A lifelong Gloucester resident, Leonie works within the community supporting people living with disabilities and is also an enrolled nurse at the local residential aged care facility.
Leonie has served on the Club Gloucester Board for more than five years, including two years as President. She is currently the Club’s Vice President.
“As a director, I wish to continue serving the members and guests of our club while supporting positive progress and future development.”
Dallas Heard
Dallas is the current President of the Gloucester RSL Sub-Branch and has served as a Director of Club Gloucester for the past four years.
He remains committed to representing the interests of the club and its members and ensuring their needs remain at the forefront of decision-making.
“I have always placed the club and its members at the forefront of everything I do for Club Gloucester.”
Gail Ellis
Gail is a current Board member and previously served on the Board from 1999 to 2019 before stepping down for personal reasons. She returned to the Board in 2022.
Gail values the opportunity to represent members’ interests and advocate for their ideas. She is passionate about the club, its members, and their families, and is committed to maintaining Club Gloucester as the friendliest meeting place in town.
Gail also volunteers as a driver for Bucketts Way Neighbourhood Group.
“The club is for the members and their families. It should not be about personal preferences.”
Janenne Harris
Born and raised in Gloucester, Janenne worked at Club Gloucester for 20 years. She previously served on the Board two decades ago for 1 year and then again during 2024-2025.
Janenne is committed to ensuring the club continues to grow and develop in a progressive manner, always focusing on what is best for the club and its members.
“I have the best interests of the club and its members at heart and would like to see the club continue to develop and move forward in a progressive manner. It’s about what is best for the Club.”
Graham Turnbull
Graham is a retired postal and business manager with extensive experience in club governance.
His Board experience includes:
- Murrurundi Golf Club (3 years)
- Murrurundi Bowling Club (Director for 2 years, Treasurer for 2 years, Vice President for 3 years, and President for 8½ years)
- Gloucester Bowling Club (Director for 2½ years and Interim Treasurer for 6 months)
- Club Gloucester (Junior Vice President for 1 year and President for 3 years)
He also serves as Treasurer of the Gloucester Men’s Shed, a role he greatly values.
“I believe I can continue to contribute valuable time and experience to the promotion and operation of Club Gloucester.”
Cheryl West
Cheryl is a current Board member and has served Club Gloucester for several years.
Her professional background includes working as a bus driver with Newcombe Coaches and in Dungog, as well as operating a restaurant in Clarence Town. Cheryl has enjoyed serving on the Board and wishes to continue contributing to the success and development of Club Gloucester.
Wayne Groves
Wayne is a current member of the Club Gloucester Board of Directors and has served for the past three years, in addition to an earlier period of Board service.
Wayne has lived in Gloucester since 1963, when he moved to the area as an 11-year-old. He is a retired panel beater and spray painter and has been an active member of the Gloucester Men’s Shed for the past three years
He remains committed to supporting the ongoing success and development of Club Gloucester.
Cheryl Farley
Cheryl is a current Board member and has served on the Board for the past three years.
She is committed to continuing her contribution to the governance and future success of Club Gloucester.
Voting will commence Monday 28th September at 11am and will continue until Monday 12th October.
